The embraceable you

It’s quite difficult to understand things in life. Fair? Nothing really represents what’s fair if we connect things in our lives to what actually occurred.

And a dear friend just reminded me that I answered too many “I don’t know” to her questions upon things that happened to our other friends.

I simply replied her,
“It’s not that I don’t care, I don’t see people the way people use to look to each other, I never consider any bad things or despair as something bad. And when they don’t talk to me about anything, I guess, I have no concern to ask or to bother them with stupid questions that might put a new burden or perhaps new hard things to think about. If they willing to stay in silence and have their problems as their own possession, so be it… Being good to ourselves is very important, and it’s not selfish at all, babe… Take me or leave me, accept me for who I am or walk away, nothing will make me feel like I’m less of a person just because I don’t do things like people used to do. None of us have an obligation to fit anyone’s idea and change to fit anyone’s mold too. Change is not something that we ought to do cause anyone asked us to do, change is something that totally ours to decide to apply into our lives. ”

Suddenly she looked deep into my eyes and said,
“No wonder you have such an enjoyable life, it’s not that you don’t care, you’re one of the most caring people that I’ve ever known, but you really know when to stay away too,” We had a moment of looking at each other, and then I said, “But you can always come to me, darling… I have no fear in giving my best to assure the happiness that you deserve to possess. But still, I may hurt you when you do something stupid and put your soul conscious and happiness at stake. One day you’ll thank me for that,”

We both smiled and I guess she understood that what I’ve said may sound so cold and bitter, but I guess she realize perfectly that I have the ability to trade my life with the best thing that I possibly provide to those that I care so much. We can shed tears when we lost those who we love, but we can smile for they have lived, and we actually had the opportunity upon the acquaintance. We were blessed by the encounter of a personality that might teach us many things to face this life a little bit better.

We can always close our eyes and pray for those who we miss so much to come back, but we can also close our eyes and see all the things that they have left for us to cherish. Feel the blissful feeling upon the ability to be grateful to hold the unseen and embrace it as courage for us to carry on. And when someone actually came into our live, stay for awhile, but then left us behind with no particular explanation for our mind to comprehend, remember that this might be a blessing in disguise for us, for they have left footprints in our hearts, and we are never be the same person anymore, just make sure that we are a better person by this.

Please acknowledge
~ that when you remember me, you have carried something of which I am when I was with you…
~ if I have left some mark on whom I am on whom you are, it means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us…
~ as long as you remember me, I will never entirely lost, for your kindness in remembering me will remind me to actually exist in giving my best by this wonderful feeling within that I meant something to someone once.
~What we actually left behind is not what engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others. And this also applied to the memories of those who have left me behind, each one of you have carved something beyond words can express.

And after all are said and done, the word “CHERISH” has become the best word to remember that my life is full of excitements and joyful experiences. And losing those who I cherish so much has giving me the reminiscence that I can get through another 24 hours with a new hope with new beginnings attach to each seconds of my life, with or without those who I need or I love so much.

 In the remembrance of:
Pangeran Adil Sitompul (25 March 1947 – 20 Oct 1994)
Igor Stravinsky M Nainggolan (29 January 1966 – 26 March 2011)

God knows how I miss both of you, papa… mas Igor…
It never was and never will be easy for me to let both of you go… I can remember every touch, every embrace, every soft, short kisses, and every single great wisdom said by both of you.

And to you Mas Igor, thank you for holding me so tight when no one actually had the heart to look at me, and I will cherish each of your embrace as the strength for me to keep on believing that God created me to give the example to my surroundings to laugh often, respect those who in despair and give as much as affection that I possibly provide to my surroundings.

Thank you for calling me every night when no one actually aware that I’m still around…
Thank you for telling me that I’m so precious and how much papa loved me when I have doubts…
Thank you for asking me to keep on smiling and stay pretty…
Thank you for hugging me so tight each time I dropped by, you had managed to make it as my best reason to come back to you over and over again…

And to those who’s suffering from the pain of losing their loved ones… Be happy for the ability to feel, smile and believe that if we have the opportunity to meet them again, they will recognize us. And even though we have separated by death, believe that we can still see their faces, hear their voices and speak to them with the words spoken in our hearts.

Have a pleasant Sunday to all.
God be with each one of us.

With love,

The excitement of uncertainties

When there’s a painful despair, full of guilt and regrets occurred in your life, remember that the scar of the pain might stay there, but the burden of guilt is something that you have to try to put down sometimes. You’d be amazed on how the action may give you the enlightenment of forgiveness upon yourself, and hopefully, it will help you to carry on and believe…, that tomorrow is just a day away and you will always have the opportunity to start over again.

And after I wrote that, I read a letter, written by a Helicopter Pilot,

“Dear mom and dad,
When you read this letter, it means that I’m not around anymore.
It’s not that I’m afraid, not in being hurt or killed, well, kind of, but not much…
My only regret will be never to see you two again, and I’ll never see Emily grow up,
But I know she’s in good hands, the best.
What I really afraid of that I’m not let my people down, my crew, these people depend on me,
They put their lives in my hands, I just can’t fail them.

Now I know that if you get this letter means that I’m dead.
I only hope that I’ve made you proud,
That I did my job,
That I didn’t let down my country, my crew, and my fellow soldiers.
I love you guys; never stop telling Emily how much I love her…

Your daughter,
Karen.

This was the letter that Karen’s parents received after Karen got killed in the Gulf War. And for me, personally, life is like facing our own wars every single day. And most of the times no particular explanation can actually represent the things for us to comprehend.

But then again, I guess life would be too dull if we lose the excitements of uncertainties. The essence of having a fun, lively life is enjoying the ups and down, just like jumping on a trampoline. It’s all about how we enjoy things, looking through things, and the higher you dare to jump, the better jumper you got to be. And trust me; the greater the challenge, the better point of view we require to possess, and this definitely will exercise our courage and ability in having better acceptance upon things in life too.

And another new way to deal with disappointments of life is served to us like a delightful desert after a feast of problems and unpleasant events. A day only lasts 24 hours, and just try to always smile upon things occurred in your life, bumps aren’t something good to experience, but it certainly the perfect way to learn a better maneuver.

Have a pleasant evening to all, God loves each one of us.

With Love,

Lisa Fransiska Sitompul

Remember...

Two simple words had driven so many questions...

When I wrote " CUKUP SUDAH..." (had enough...)
as my BlackBerry Messenger's Status, questions popped out and asked on what's been going on...

I responded to a dear friend with:
"CUKUP SUDAH jadi sahabatmu... kumau jadi...... (isi sendiri yah?)
(HAD ENOUGH to be your bestfriend... I want to be...... (please fill in)
and it's amazing how she responded with a line of laughter icons...
Well, if we can actually upgrade our stage of friendship from dear friends to other closer, friendlier and giving or sharing more encouraging things to each other, I guess that would be a splendour idea!

I'm so grateful for so many simple things occurred in my life.
The complications of life have given me the idea not to be too hard to myself, for I won't survive it alive anyway... ^_^
And I'm extremely grateful for opportunities beyond my imaginations that God has allowed me to experience along my journey of life.
And giving is becoming a word of wisdom and satisfactions of contributing in others' life, even though in the end I turned out to be the forgotten one.

Is it important to be the remembered one?
I believe we all have our own answers, attached with our own reasonable arguments.
But...
is it important to remember?
Have you heard, "Forgive and Forget...."
Why didn't that person write or say, "Forgive and remember...

If a word of "remember' represents something that caused you so much pain:
~ Remember that from DAY ONE of your life, you were enrolled into an informal lifetime school called life!
~ Remember that after the birth of a person called "YOU", a body given to you, like it or not, that's yours for the period this time around.
~ Remember that you have the honour to experience something that no one would want to experience...
~ Remember that you have received something beyond your understandings and this might be the best lesson ever!

For life is about experiencing lessons, no mistakes recorded, no grades attached, no scores counted, just lessons...
Try to remember beyond the things that you might never noticed before...

~ when you are resting below a shade of a tree
Remember that someone planted it there once...

~ when you are throwing something away,
Remember the process of experiments, the trials and errors attached to every effort on making it...

~ when you decide not to look at something that you don't want to get involve into,
Remember that God embrace you every morning with the same sunlight as a promise of a new day...

~ when you have to let go,
Remember that excepting irrelevant and stupid things are a part of embracing your inner strength to compromise more upon things in life.

In the end, I would like to change the terms of "Forgive and Forget....
into
"Forgive and Remember......"
and continue the sentence with thousands of great ideas of learning things in life...

Remember...

This is not a New Year's Poem... ^_^

.
Don't know what to do, don't know what to say...
I thought I'm a fortress, but I have stumbled like a clay...
I have nothing to wish, but I do have one thing to pray...
Even though you're not here, but I know your love is here to stay...
.
I'm not being romantic at the beginning of the year...
I'm simply want to share something true and clear...
that through the fire, the wall. or through the path of fear...
I know that I never walked alone, because I know that you're near...
.
And when a name appeared, questions are made...
I know you're smiling behind the shade...
For you know, that fame is something that may fade...
But what's within is something beyond the world's ability to trade...

A New Year Greetings to all

.
Maybe you're not close enough to hold your loved ones...

Or...

Perhaps you're not close enough to whisper 'I love you' to those that you cherish so dearly...

Maybe time crawls like a snail when you're waiting for something..

Or...

Perhaps it runs like a cheetah when you're enjoying an amazing moment of joy and happiness...
.
.
But I truly believe that things happened as the tapestry of greatness within, blessed to each one of us as a gift of life and hope...

By tears we cherished laughters...

By sadness we learned to spread our arms to hold...

By loosing we discover understandings..

And by counting the seconds to the years of our lives, we virtue the wisdom to believe that God allows us to experience HIS grand design to life itself...

New Year's eve are just another night..but it can be the new beginning for us to possess the faith that we have our share to build, to care and to hold others a little bit more every single day...

Have a full of blessed beginnings in this New Year of 2012...
May God be with each one of us...

always, withL.O.V.E

When TGIF is a lot more than "Thank God It's Friday"

Different people are trying to reach different achievement in life. And some debates or arguments have been brought up to the surface whether we have been firmed enough to reach the point that we're trying to reach.

Another questions appeared..

Have we built the proper pavement to the content of who we are, what we are?
And have all this effort led us to achive something better?

There are two major groups in the planet, those who build their own life, and those who build their life by building their surrounding. The satisfaction of doing something or do more, add more and give more to enrich something contributes fundamental differences between both groups.

But none is the better one, the development of life has to be balanced by different opinions and attitudes which driven us into creating and reaching better achievements every day.

Without ignorant people, we have no reason to educate people about compassion.

Without mediocre people, we have no reason to encourage people to believe in hope and excel their expectation upon their life.

Without hatred, we have reason to embrace people to recognise love as something that we share by caring and forgiving.

Without hunger and catastrophic events in life, we have no reason to hold others' hands to reach those in need and believe that we can actually make a different by giving.

Without goodbyes, we have no recollections of how acquaintances are precious in order to introduce us to different virtues of wisdom and understandings.

And

Without tears, we have no reason to the invention of happiness, we have no reason to smile, we have no reason to sing, we have no reason to rock a baby, we have no reason to actually stretch out our arms and lend our hands to wipe sadness and cure broken hearts and broken hopes.

GOD is extremely Great n Wonderful in making our life full of different things. And every act of love to life may not be an easy thing to do, but we all can start by doing simple things and do a little bit more with a sincere heart.
And shall GOD grants us the enlightenment of reaching things in our life as something more than our achievements which is the great happiness within when we encounter the virtue of contributions...

Have a wonderful end of the week to all my dearest family and friends...
And now, TGIF can stand more than "Thank's God It's Friday" it can also stands for:

* Thank's God I've Forgiven
* There's Great Internal Fulfillment
* Thank's God I've Found

And shall souls rejoice by the excitement to do more in life.

Songs of Life

.
How am I going to describe Pangeran Adil Sitompul?

A firm man?
Yeah... That's for sure...!
A man who loved his family?
No doubt about that!!
A man who always had the eagerness to learn?
Definitely Yes!
A man who cherished me so much?
Yippikaiye to that!!

One thing for sure...
After all said and done,
He was simply a man who became the existence of many great things, and I am included in the package!

But after missing him for more than 17 years, I had an amazing morning when my namboru drove me to work! It's not easy for a 72.y.o lady to drive that far.
I was singing and humming along the way until suddenly she said,
"U certainly are a happy chirping singing bird, and it has become ur trademark since u were a baby..."

I giggled and discovered that I was so thrilled this morning! Yesterday was my Namboru's birthday, and in my time alone, stuck in the middle of Jakarta's awful traffic jam, I was thinking about how time has passed while I was listening to God knows how many songs!
I got through those boring and agonizing moments by singing songs and remembrance of so many wonderful things in my life...

And now, I'm smiling..
With no doubt,
I'm Missing papa and mama so much!
But this missing feeling is so wonderful now...
Not a single tear dropped...
I only have happiness within...

I still have joyful memories of how I could climb trees when papa played golf...

I still have the great excitement of discovery when papa let me paint my own bedroom wall...

I have the wondrous cherished feeling when papa didn't got mad after he found out that I tapped the phone when I was just 13 (xixixi..the title of Miss Mission Impossible attached since...)

I have the most vehement flame to learn and expand by the feeling of new challenges upon this new day.

And somehow...
These great things have run through my veins like a flow of a great river each time I miss both of you, Pa.. Ma..

And songs are more than beautiful words attached to each other, knitted by wonderful tunes and colored by the harmony of amazing sounds of instruments!
Songs have been a wondrous source of energy, the album of so many wonderful things in life that I can enjoy, repeatedly...!!

"I wanna be where you are" (by. Jose Feliciano) Papa n Mama....
But "I was doing alright" (by. Diana Krall) for I have great memories of "My time with you" (by. Kina Granis & David Choi), yes both of you...!
And I will always have the strength to shout:
"GOOD MORNING HAPPINESS" (by. Neri per Caso)
And
I will "Spend my lifetime loving you" (by. Arie)
Keeping the "Home by the Sea" (by. Genesis) within me, and let the sound of shore be the enrichment of my life! The sound of new Hope and the thought of "We've only just begun" (by. The Carpenters) will always be my strength to move forward.
And with a simple "Kiss to build a dream on" (by. Louis Armstrong) to each new day of my life, I will always have the flame to love this life of mine a little bit more every day!

By this...
Please let me wish you the JOY, HOPE, and LOVE "All the way" (by. Frank Sinatra), and shall we all be the light to shine...
And Hopefully, I can give something to you all as you all have given so much to me..., for "You are my inspiration" (by. Chicago)

Have a full of blessing Thursday to all.
God blesses u all...

As always...with LOVE, and joy in the memory of
